Katy Battell

Admin Officer

Katy supports the management of key internal functions at RWA, such as budgeting and reporting, and the coordination of partners and colleagues around the world. Prior to this she was a Bookshop and Admin Manager in Europe’s largest bookshop, overseeing finance, HR, and legal functions at a field-based level; the management of 100 members of staff; and the commercial direction of the shop.

In 2023, Katy completed her postgraduate degree in Human Rights, obtained from the LSE. Here she focused on international human rights law, postcolonial theory, and political reconciliation, and concluded her degree with an investigation into the human right to public space, researching, amongst other things, WASH access across Central London. Previously, she has volunteered with Trussell Trust and has worked as a Research Intern for the Royal Society of Arts, being awarded a fellowship in 2019.
