Ms. Mafruda Rahman is a Project Management specialist with over a decade of experience in the fields of energy, environment, and climate change initiatives. Prior to WaterAid, she held the position of Senior Assistant Vice President at the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), where she led the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Unit. In this capacity, she gained extensive hands-on experience in securing concessional financing from both the GCF and private sector entities. Ms. Rahman and her team successfully secured USD 256.5 million in funding from GCF for energy efficiency projects within the textile and RMG sectors, which are currently under implementation.

Her expertise is further supported by a background in business consulting and qualitative research. Ms. Rahman holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Accounting.
